Surfing confirmed in the First South American Beach Games

The first meeting for the organization of the South American Beach Games took place in Montevideo and Punta del Este this past weekend. The Games will be carried out from February 27 to March 8 at Montevideo and Punta del Este beaches in Uruguay.

It will be the second time an Olympic Movement Beach Games are held. The first one finished on October 27th in Bali, Indonesia where surfing had been successfully included. In fact, surfing was the favorite sport in the on-line voting at the Beach Games website.

Surfing confirmado en los Primeros Juegos Sudamericanos de Playa

Se realizó durante el 26 y 27 de octubre, en Montevideo y Punta del Este, la primera reunión organizativa de los Juegos Sudamericanos de Playa, que serán realizados desde el 27 de febrero hasta el 8 de marzo en las playas de Montevideo y Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Se trata de la segunda vez que se realizan Juegos de Playa dentro del Movimiento Olímpico. Los primeros finalizaron el 27 de octubre en Bali, Indonesia y contaron con una exitosa inclusión del surfing. Tan exitosa que en la votación online, el deporte favorito en la página web de los Juegos de Playa Asiáticos resultó ser el surfing.
